Aluminium futures up on spot demand

Aluminium prices on Wednesday edged up 0.45 per cent to Rs 157.30 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for November delivery gained 70 paise, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 157.30 per kg in a business turnover of 1,085 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders after some demand from consumer industries supported aluminium prices.
