NCDEX prepones expiry date of October contract

The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) have preponed the expiry dates of October 2007 contract on account of Durga Pooja.

NEW DELHI: The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) have preponed the expiry dates of October 2007 contract on account of Durga Pooja.

October 2007 contract of various commodities ends on October 19. Expiry of raw jute and sugar contracts has been preponed to October 17 while chilli, maize and turmeric contracts are preponed to October 18, NCDEX said in a circular.

"Since physical markets during Durga Pooja, which is on October 21, would remain closed, NCDEX has decided to prepone the expiry date of October 2007 contract," it said.
