NEW DELHI: Mustardseed prices were up by Rs 37 to Rs 4,220 per quintal in futures trading today as participants widened positions amidst rising demand at the spot market.

Besides, tight supplies in the market influenced commodity prices in futures trade, analysts said.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in August contracts improved by Rs 37, or 0.88 per cent to Rs 4,220 per quintal, with an open interest of 80,330 lots.

Also, the commodity for this month contracts gained Rs 34, or 0.82 per cent to Rs 4,177 per quintal, in an open interest of 16,020 lots.
