Mustard oil up Rs 100 a quintal

Mustard expeller wholesale prices on Thursday rose by Rs 100 a quintal in the national capital on the back of increased demand from local parties.

NEW DELHI: Mustard expeller wholesale prices on Thursday rose by Rs 100 a quintal in the national capital on the back of increased demand from local parties.

However, cottonseed mill delivery oil showed somewhat weakness due to sluggish demand.

Mustard expeller oil prices were up Rs 100 at Rs 5,900 a quintal on increased demand. It had lost Rs 50 yesterday.

Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oil prices also were up by Rs 5 each at Rs 875-945 and Rs 920-995 per tin of 15 litre respectively.

Cottonseed mill delivery oil fell by Rs 50 at Rs 5,700 a quintal.

Traders said activity was restricted as demand from neighbouring states remained at a low ebb.
