Moong dal, urad dal prices drop
Prices of both urad dal and moong dal fell, while other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market.

CHENNAI: Prices of both urad dal and moong dal fell, while other commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here on Monday.
Rates of urad and moong dal slipped by Rs 50 each per quintal to Rs 3,900 and Rs 3,400 respectively over the previous levels.
However, rates of thoor dal, gram dal, sugar, wheat, maida and sooji remained unchanged.
Following are today's rates (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 4,100, urad dal Rs 3,900, moong dal Rs 3,400 gram dal Rs 2,800, sugar Rs 1,340, wheat Rs 1,400, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,380, sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,400.
