Moong dal price down,maida up

CHENNAI: Prices of Moong dal declined while maida went up, rest all other commodities remained unchanged in the wholesale foodgrains market here on Monday.

Moong dal moved down by Rs.500 per quintal to Rs.5,900 from Previous rate of Rs.6,400.

Maida (90 kg) rose by Rs.50 to Rs.1,750 from Rs.1,700. Thoor dal,urad dall,gram dal,sugar,wheat,sooji prices ruled steady.

Following are today's rates (per quintal): Thoor dal Rs 6,200, Urad dal Rs 7,200, Moong dal Rs 5,900, Gram dal Rs 2,800, Sugar Rs 2,700, Wheat Rs 1,750, Maida (90 kg) Rs 1,750 and sooji (90 kgs) Rs 1900.
