Moong dal, gram dal, sugar prices move up

CHENNAI: The prices of moong dal, gram dal, sugar, maida and sooji moved up while rest all other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal went up by Rs 100 per quintal from its previous close of Rs 7,500 to Rs 7,600 today.

Gram dal and sugar increased by Rs 50 per quintal from their previous rates of Rs 5,800 and Rs 3,450 to Rs 5,850 and Rs 3,500.

Similarly, maida and sooji(both 90 kg.) rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,300 and Rs 2,400 from Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,300 traded lastweek.

Thoor dal, urad dal and wheat remained unchanged.
