Monsanto India to sell its sunflower unit for $3.9 mn

Monsanto India Ltd says its board had approved selling its sunflower seeds business to the Indian arm of Belgian Devgen for $3.91 million.

MUMBAI: Seed technolgy firm Monsanto India Ltd said on Friday its board had approved selling its sunflower seeds business to the Indian arm of Belgian Devgen for $3.91 million.

The deal also includes Mosanto's inventory at cost, the company said in a statement.

The sale is part of a deal by US-based Monsanto to sell several of its Asian agricultural seed businesses to Devgen.
