Moderate rise in sugar prices on good demand

Prices of sugar moved up moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market on Monday due to good demand from retailers amidst poor supply from mills.

MUMBAI: Prices of sugar moved up moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market here on Monday due to good demand from retailers amidst poor supply from mills.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) rose by Rs 7 per quintal to Rs 1485/1570 from the previous close of Rs 1478/1570.
Small sugar quality (S-30) also looked up by Rs 3 per quintal to Rs 1455/1510 from Rs 1452/1510 previously.
