MMTC to sell gold coins

KOCHI: MMTC Limited, a Central PSU, has drawn up ambitious plans to sell gold coins and has offered special discount at 0.5 per cent on gold coins in the denominations upto 50 grams during coming festival season.

MMTC has also been offering special discount at four per cent on Silver Coins/Bars of 999 purity in the denominations ranging from 10 grams to 1,000 grams, a press release said.

The special discounts would be valid from July 21 to Aug 10, 2012.

MMTC has regularly been conducting retail sales of gold coins conforming to 999 and 9999 purity in various denominations ranging from 0.5 gram to 100 grams at the best competitive prices vis-a-vis banks and other agencies. Gold coins are available in tamper-proof packaging along with certification, the release said.
