Mixed trend prevails in foodgrain market
Prices of thoor dal, urad dal, sugar and wheat moved up while moong dal was down on the opening day in the wholesale foodgrains market.

Urad dal was sharply up by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 12,200 from its closing rates of Rs 11,800.
Thoor dal was up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 14,200 from Rs 14,000.
Sugar and wheat were up by Rs.100 per quintal to Rs 2,800 and Rs 3,000 from Rs 2,700 and Rs 2,900, respectively.
Moong dal was down by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,800 from Rs 9,900, respectively.
Gram dal(Rs.6,400), maida (90 kgs)(Rs.2,500) and sooji (90 kgs)(Rs.3,000) prices ruled steady.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 14,200, Urad Dal Rs 12,200, Moong Dal Rs 9,800, Gram Dal Rs 6,400, Sugar Rs 2,800, Wheat Rs 3,000 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
