Prices of sugar Rs 2,800, wheat Rs 3,000, maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and sooji Rs 3,000 ruled stady throuhout the week.

Mixed trend prevails in commodities market
CHENNAI: Prices of Gram dal, Urad dal, Thoor dal and moong dal went up in the wholesele foodgrains market during the week that ended here today.
All other commodities ruled steady.
Gram dal opened the week at Rs 5,700, up by Rs 300 per quintal from its closing rates of Rs 5,400. It again increased on Wednesday by Rs 100 to finish the week at Rs 5,800.
Urad dal closed the week at Rs 10,200. Its price increased by Rs 100 on Monday and Rs 300 on Wednesday per quintal from its closing of Rs 9,800 to finish the week at Rs 10,200.
Price thoor dal and moong dal was steady at its opening price of Rs 9,900 and Rs 10,200 which increased on Wednesday by Rs 300 and Rs 100 per quintal to close the week at Rs 10,200 and Rs 10,300.
