Millgate sugar rises on fresh buying

Millgate sugar prices rose in the range of Rs 15-20 a quintal on the wholesale sugar market today on emergence of buying against reduced arrival.

NEW DELHI: Millgate sugar prices rose in the range of Rs 15-20 a quintal on the wholesale sugar market today on emergence of buying against reduced arrival.

Marketmen said fresh buying in the face of reduced supply mainly helped millgate prices to move up.

In the millgate section, Khatauli and Simbhawali rose by Rs 15 each at Rs 1,445 and Rs 1,460 per quintal respectively.

Modi Nagar and Mawana also seen in demand and advanced by Rs 20 each at Rs 1,440 each a quintal.
