Menthol prices recovered today in the range of Rs 5 to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital on fall in supply against increased demand from consuming units.

NEW DELHI: Menthol prices recovered today in the range of Rs 5 to Rs 10 per kg in the national capital on fall in supply against increased demand from consuming units.
Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices rose up to Rs 5-10 to Rs to Rs 760, Rs 735 and Rs 650 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said tight supplies from producing areas of Uttar Pradesh against increased demand from stockists as well as consuming units, mainly pushed up menthol prices.
They said firm trend in future prices at Multi Commodity Exchange also influenced prices.
Meanwhile, prices of other chemicals ruled steady on scattered deals.
