Menthol declines on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI: Menthol prices drifted by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units amid adequate stocks.

Weakening trend at futures market and increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on the menthol prices.

Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices declined by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 1,080, Rs 1,070 and Rs 1,100 per kg, respectively.

Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down menthol prices.
