NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices rose 1.19 per cent to Rs 899.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions amid a firm trend at spot market on rising demand.

Besides, restricted arrivals from the major producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, supported the upside.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May moved up by Rs 10.60, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 899.80 per kg in a business turnover of 140 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 8.60, or 0.98 per cent, to Rs 888 per kg in 700 lots.
