Mentha oil futures slide 0.49% on muted demand
New Delhi: Mentha oil prices fell 0.49 per cent to Rs 910.10 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced positions owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Furthermore, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from major producing belts in Uttar Pradesh put pressure on mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November eased by Rs 4.50, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 910.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 1,243 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 4.40, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 923 per kg in 1,169 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to easing demand from consuming industries in the physical market against sufficient stocks on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
