Supported by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mentha oil traded higher for the third straight session.

Mentha oil futures remain higher as demand picks up
NEW DELHI: Supported by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mentha oil traded higher for the third straight session by adding Rs 0.24 per cent to Rs 848.60 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 848.60 per kg in business turnover of 62 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February moved up by Rs 1.70, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 859.50 per kg in 8 lots.

Analysts said besides pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, also influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
