NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices fell by 0.82 per cent to Rs 986 per kg in futures trade today as speculators off-loaded their positions amid weak demand against increased arrivals in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 8.20, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 986 per kg, with a business volume of 539 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil prices for May delivery lost Rs 3.20, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 959.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 124 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to subdued demand against increased supplies in the spot market.
