NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 14.30 to Rs 1,285.70 per kg in futures trade today as traders indulged in profit-booking amid subdued spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 14.30, or 1.10 per cent, to Rs 1,285.70 per kg, with a business volume of 657 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil prices for February delivery eased by Rs 12.80, or 0.97 per cent, to Rs 1,301 per kg, with a business turnover of 312 lots.

The fall in mentha oil prices was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators following weak spot markets trend on subdued demand, traders said.
