NEW DELHI: Mentha oil prices fell 0.30 per cent to Rs 713 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December fell by Rs 2.20, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 713 per kg, with a business volume of 144 lots.

Similarly, mentha oil prices for the January 2015 delivery eased by Rs 1.20, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 725.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 226 lots.

The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
