Lead futures down 1.37 pc

NEW DELHI: Lead futures prices today declined by Rs 1.45 to Rs 104.05 per kg owing to subdued demand from battery makers in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June declined by Rs 1.45, or 1.37 per cent, to Rs 104.05 per kg in business turnover of 3,899 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in June shed Rs 1.35, or 1.27 per cent, to Rs 104.85 per kg in 285 lots.

Market analysts said sluggish demand from battery markers in the spot market mainly kept pressure on the lead futures prices.
