Kishmish prices rise on fresh buying

Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists.

NEW DELHI: Kishmish prices rose by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists.


Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Kishmish Indian yellow and green rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 3,700-4,300 and Rs 4,100-7,100 per 40 kg bag, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly helped kishmish prices rises on the wholesale dry fruit market here.

The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 13,600 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,300-7,700; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 3,300-3,500; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-20,000.
