Kishmish falls on subdued demand

Kishmish Indian yellow and green declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 4,400-6,200 and Rs 10,700-14,900 per 40 kg, respectively.

NEW DELHI: Kishmish prices declined by Rs 100 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists.

Sufficient stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on kishmish prices.

Kishmish Indian yellow and green declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 4,400-6,200 and Rs 10,700-14,900 per 40 kg, respectively.

Traders said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals, mainly led to the fall in kishmish prices in the wholesale market here.

Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 18,500, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,000-6,200; Abjosh Afghani Rs 14,000-21,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 660-670 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 600-700 per kg.
