Jeera prices slipped by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale kirana market on Saturday on increased arrivals from Rajasthan against poor demand.

NEW DELHI: Jeera prices slipped by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale kirana market on Saturday on increased arrivals from Rajasthan against poor demand.

However, prices of other commodities moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and closed on a flat note.

Jeera common and dollar fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 10,100-11,500 and 10,400-10,500 per quintal respectively, on fresh arrivals from Kota in Rajasthan.

Traders said fresh arrivals from Rajasthan coupled with excess stock position, mainly pulled down jeera prices.
