Jeera down 1.3 pc
In domestic futures, MCX recorded a turnover of Rs 2,317.55 crore in the first session, up to 5 pm. Bullion turnover was Rs 851.77 crore.
Copper contracts turnover was Rs 555.40 crore. Copper contracts gained between Rs 2.30 and 2.65 per kg, with the August contract up 0.86% at Rs 311.35 per kg. Turnover of all zinc contracts was Rs 299.63 crore. Zinc July contract was up 1.3% at Rs 140.70 per kg. Turnover of all nickel contracts was Rs 162.38 crore.
NCDEX recorded a total volume of Rs 2,343 crore, with active trades in guar seed, chana, jeera, pepper, soya oil and rape mustard seed.
Jeera fell steeply by 1.3% to close at Rs 12,804 per quintal. Guar seed for July moved up by Rs 6 to close at Rs 1,661 per quintal. Chana declined by Rs 16 per quintal to close at Rs 3,980. Soya oil fell by Rs 3 to close at Rs 494 per 10 kg.
