Gur prices decline on ample stocks
A weak trend in gur prices marked the trading in the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market due to ample stocks following increased supply.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled lower owing to heavy supply from manufacturing areas.
Marketmen said apart from plenty of ready stocks, increased supplies from manufacturing areas mainly weighed on gur prices but winter season demand capped the fall. In delhi, gur Dhayya and Shakkar prices dropped by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 2,800-2,900 and Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal, respectively, gur Pedi prices also lost Rs 50 at Rs 2,650-2,750 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa and Ladoo prices asked lower at Rs 2,300-2,400 and Rs 2,500-2,600 instead of Rs 2,400-2,450 and Rs 2,550-2,650 per quintal.
