Gur prices close steady on small buying

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market held steady in the national capital today following sporadic demand against restricted arrivals.

NEW DELHI: The wholesale gur ( Jaggery) market held steady in the national capital today following sporadic demand against restricted arrivals.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also finished without any changes on little doing.

Marketmen said reduced arrivals and little demand mainly kept prices unaltered.

The following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal: Gur chakku 3,100-3,200, pedi 3,200-3,300, dhayya 3,300- 3,400 and shakkar 3,400-3,500.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,750-2,775, chakku 2,850-3,025 and khurpa 2,725-2750.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2950-3,000 and dhayya 2,950-3050.
