Gur closes quiet in Delhi, pedi improves in Muradnagar

NEW DELHI: Quiet conditions applied in the wholesale Jaggery market at the national capital today due to small buying support against restricted supply.

On the other hand, gur pedi prices hardened by Rs 50 per quitnal in Muradnagar markets owing to paucity of stocks.

Marketmen said tight position of stocks following reduced arrivals from manufacturing areas mainly pushed up gur pedi prices in Muradnagar.

In Muradnagar, gur pedi prices gained from Rs 3050-3100 to finish at Rs 3100-3150 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal: Gur chakku 3,400-3,500, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya 3,600- 3,700 and shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,700-2,750, chakku 3,000-3,150 and khurpa N.T.

Muradnagar: Pedi 3100-3,150 and dhayya 3,100-3150.
