Gur climbs on fresh buying, reduced arrivals
NEW DELHI: Gur prices shot up by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today following heavy buying by stockist and retailers against restricted supply.

On the other hand, gur pedi prices declined by Rs 100 in Muradnagar gur markets on increased supply.

In Delhi, gur Dhayya prices firmed up by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 3050-3150 per quintal.

Gur Pedi and Shakkar prices gained by Rs 100 each to Rs 2900-3000 and Rs 3200-3300 per quintal.

Prices of gur Chakku also asked higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2850-2950 per quintal.

In Muradnagar gur Pedi prices slipped by Rs 150 to settle lower at Rs 2550-2600 per quintal.

The following are today's quotations per quintal: Gur chakku 2,850-2,950, pedi 2,900-3,000, dhayya 3,050-3,150 and shakkar 3,200-3,300.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,400-2,450, chakku 2,650-2,800 khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,700-2,750.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,550-2,600 and dhayya 2,700-2,750.
