Groundnut oil strengthens on firm demand from stockist, retailers

MUMBAI: Groundnut oil prices strengthened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following firm demand from stockist and retailers amidst restricted arrivals from producing belts.

While, refined palmolein extended its fall in the absences of any retail buying support.

In the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any largescale buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 1015 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1010. However, refined palmolein declined by Rs 4 per 10kg at Rs 471 compared to Rs 475.

Among the non-edibles, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 3,975 per 100 kg, Rs 825 per 10kg and Rs 770 per 10kg, respectively.
