Groundnut oil recovers in lacklustre trade

MUMBAI: Refined palmolein edged down further in an otherwise sluggish Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on lack of buying support from retailers.

While in non-edibles, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped due to lower offtake from shippers and soap manufacturing units.

Meanwhile, groundnutoil and linseedoil held steady in the absence of any major buying.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein moved down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 475 from Friday's closing level of Rs 477. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,175 from overnight close of Rs 4,200 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 865 from Rs 870 previously. However, linseedoil ended unaltered at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
