Groundnut oil moves up on retailers demand

Groundnut oil prices edged higher by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of pick up in demand from retailers.

NEW DELHI: Groundnut oil prices edged higher by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of pick up in demand from retailers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to move in narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said rising demand from retailers and millers mainly influenced groundnut oil prices.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) rose by Rs 100 to Rs 7,700 per quintal.
