Groundnut oil declines in thin trade

In thin trading, groundnut oil prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand.

NEW DELHI: In thin trading, groundnut oil prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.

However, other edible and non-edible oils, after moving in a narrow range on scattered deals, settled around previous levels.

Traders said sluggish demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly helped groundnut oil prices to decline.

In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil declined by Rs 50 to Rs 11,450 per quintal.
