Gram, its dal prices soften in thin trade

Barring a fall in gram and its dal due to subdued demand, other pulses held steady on the wholesale pulses market today in limited deals.

NEW DELHI: Barring a fall in gram and its dal due to subdued demand, other pulses held steady on the wholesale pulses market today in limited deals.

Traders said lack of demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,500-3,850, Rs 4,150-4,250 and Rs 4,450-4,550 per quintal, respectively.

The following are today's pulses rates per quintal: Urad 3,900-4,300, Urad Chilka (local) 4,750-5,100, best 5,200-5,700, Dhoya 5,700-5,900, Moong 5,800-6,300, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,300-6,700, Moong Dhoya local 6,650-6,750 and best quality 7,350-7,450.

Masoor small 4,400-4,600, bold 4,550-4,800, Dal Masoor local 5,100-5,200, best quality 5,200-5,300, Malka local 4,900-5,000, best 5,100-5,200, Moth 3,900-4,500, Arhar 4,650-5,000, Dal Arhar Dara 6,350-6,550. Besin Rajdhani and shaktibhog Rs 1700 each per 35 kg bag.
