Gram dal, rajma firm up on restrict arrivals
Gram dal and rajmah chitra price gained on the wholesale pulses market in New Delhi on Saturday.
However, other pulse prices moved in a tight range on small bouts of trading and finished unchanged.
Marketmen said poor supply from producing regions like, Rajasthan and Gujarat amid pick up in demand, largely pushed up gram and rajmah chitra prices.
Gram dal local and best price marked ahead from Rs 2,300-2,400 and Rs 2,500-2,700 to winding up at Rs 2,325-2,450 and Rs 2,550-2,750 a quintal on poor supply.
Rajmah chitra Pune and China too found fresh support on paucity of stocks and quoted higher at Rs 3,100-3,800 and Rs 3,500-3,800 instead of Rs 3,000-3,600 and Rs 3,400-3,600 a quintal respectively.
Kabli gram small finished higher at Rs 2,500-3,100 from Rs 2,450-3,000 a quintal.
