COONOOR: Good demand prevailed on whole leaf grades and sold at firm levels in the sale held here on March 6 and 7.
Clean leafy brokens were irregular. The fannings met with good demand and sold at dearer levels.
The brighter liquoring teas in the CTC market met with fair demand and sold at irregular levels following quality. The better medium sorts were irregularly lower by upto Rs two. the medium and plainer sorts sold at steady levels, whilst the fannings ruled dearer by upto a Rupee. the plainer bolder types were barely steady.
The offerings consisted of the following: Orthodox leaf 27,541 kg, CTC leaf 5,61,558 kg, Orthodox Dust 33097 kg, CTC dust 2,18,438 kg.
