Edible oil prices up on increased demand
Prices of groundnut oil and refined palmolein firmed up further on the oil and oilseeds market here on Saturday on sustained demand from retailers amidst poor supply from producing regions.

MUMBAI: Prices of groundnut oil and refined palmolein firmed up further on the oil and oilseeds market here on Saturday on sustained demand from retailers amidst poor supply from producing regions.
However, castorseeds futures also moved up on good export enquiries.
In the edible section, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 to Rs 720 from Rs 710 previously and refined palmolein also looked up by Rs 2 to Rs 584 from Rs 582 yesterday.
Moving to the futures section, castorseeds August contract resumed higher at Rs 2,695 and firmed up further to Rs 2,712 before closing at Rs 2,702 from Rs 2,687 previously, showing a gain of Rs 15.
Turning to the industrial section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all closed unchanged at Rs 2,805, Rs 591 and Rs 705 respectively.
However, castorseeds futures also moved up on good export enquiries.
