Edible oil, oilseeds down on Malaysia, CBOT

Indian edible oil and oilseeds fell on Friday on profit-taking for second day tracking weakness in rival palm oil futures in Malaysia and soybean futures in CHicago Board of Trade (CBOT).

MUMBAI:Indian edible oil and oilseeds fell on Friday on profit-taking for second daytracking weakness in rival palm oil futures in Malaysia and soybean futures inCHicago Board of Trade (CBOT). At 10:25 a.m. soyoil April futures fell 2.33 percent to 697.25 rupees per 10 kg, after hitting a low of 693.3rupees.

Malaysian palm oil Maycontract was trading down 3.70 percent at 3,855 ringgit ($1,215.3)a tonne. OILSEEDS: At 10:27 a.m. soybean April contract fell 1.77percent to 2,279 rupees per 100 kg.

July soybean futures on CBOT eased 0.34 percent at $14.66 per bushel. The July rapeseedfutures fell 2.22 percent at 634.95 rupees per 20 kg.
