CSE index fall by 693 points in weekly trade

Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) during the week lost ground in lackluster trade losing 693 points.

KOLKATA: Calcutta Stock Exchange (CSE) during the week lost ground in lackluster trade losing 693 points.

The benchmark index, CSE-40 fell by 693.95 points during the week under the review. In the previous week, the market gained 151.57 points.

The local bourse opened at 9329.32 but till Wednesday it lost ground to touch a low of 8600.63. However, on Friday the last trading day the market registered partial recovery to end the week at 8635.37.

Business volume during the week stayed normal. Adinath Bio-Labs was at Rs 88.75 at close. Blueprint Securities ended at Rs 303.75 during the week and Shree Securities stayed flat at Rs 198.20 and Oasis Cine Communications stayed firm at Rs 288.80 and RGF Capital Markets at Rs 345.

BSR Finance & Construction ended the week at Rs 174.50. Classic Growers was at Rs 91.80, Risorgimento Industrial Co at Rs 285.25, Shardaraj Tradefin at Rs 53.85 and Shree Securities at Rs 198.20. Twenty-first Century was at Rs 290.15.
