NEW DELHI: Coriander and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks on fall in supplies from producing belts.

Coriander and turmeric traded Rs 100 each higher at Rs 11,100-16,100 and Rs 8,800-13,100 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up coriander and turmeric prices.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs): Ajwain (per kg) 150-185, black pepper (per kg) 570-750, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,690-1,700 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,800-1,900.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 770-830, cardamom (colour robin) 770-790, cardamom bold 780-800, cardamom extra (bold) 870-900 and cloves 700-820.
