Copper weakens on subdued demand

Copper prices eased by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.

NEW DELHI: Copper prices eased by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.

Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries mainly put pressure on copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap declined by Rs 2 to Rs 433 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg): Zinc ingot 116-122, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,086-1,092, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 433, Chadri deshi 285.
