Copper traded higher by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

NEW DELHI: Copper traded higher by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders said increased demand from consuming industries helped copper prices to strengthen.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap advanced by Rs 2 to Rs 434 per kg.

The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 109-115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,063-1,064 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 434,chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 142,lead imported 140, aluminium ingots 150, Aluminium sheet cutting 151, aluminium wire scrap 153 and aluminium utensils scrap 150.
