Copper strengthens on increased demand
Copper prices edged higher by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased industrial demand.
Traders said increased industrial demand mainly helped copper prices to strengthen.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added Rs 2 to Rs 419 per kg.
The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 115-119, nickel plate (4x4) 1,049-1,052, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 419, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 143, lead imported 141, aluminium ingots 128, sheet cutting 129, aluminium wire scrap 133 and aluminium utensils scrap 128.
