Copper remains up on increased industrial demand

Lead ingot 150, lead imported 148, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148.

NEW DELHI: Copper remained firm for the second straight day as prices added Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased industrial demand.

Traders said increased industrial demand mainly led to rise in copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added Rs 2 to Rs 431 per kg.

The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,054-1,055 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 431, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 150, lead imported 148, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148.
