NEW DELHI: Copper prices rose by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today largely on firm global trend.

Traders attributed the rise in copper prices to a firming global trend after exports from China increased more than projected, adding to evidence of an economic rebound in the world's largest consumer of the metal.

Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months added 0.7 per cent to USD 7,211 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 430 per kg.

The following are today's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,045-1,046 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 430, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 148, lead imported 146, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148.
