Copper prices improve on fresh buying activity

Copper prices improved by a rupee per kg on the non-ferrous metal market on fresh buying support.

NEW DELHI: Copper prices improved by a rupee per kg on the non-ferrous metal market on Monday on fresh buying support.

However, prices of other base metals ruled flat on little bouts of buying and selling.

Marketmen said rise in demand from construction industry amid restricted selling by stockists pushed up the prices.

Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar copper mixed scrap, C C rod, utensil scrap and mixed scrap all moved up by a rupee at Rs 344, Rs 369, Rs 364, Rs 324, Rs 354, Rs 309 and Rs 304 a kilo respectively.
