Copper edges up on global cues

NEW DELHI: Copper prices edged up by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market on Tuesday largely on firming global trend.


Traders attributed the rise in copper prices to a firm global trend.

Meanwhile, copper rose 0.2 per cent to $ 7,280.75 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 421 per kg.

The following were on Tuesday's metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 117-123, nickel plate (4x4) 1,054-1,057, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 421, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 140, lead imported 138, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142.
