NEW DELHI: Red chilli and turmeric prices drifted by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today due to easing demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.

Red chilli and turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 6,500-12,500 and Rs 9,000-13,000 per quintal, respectively.

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down chilli and turmeric prices.

Following are today's quotations: Ajwain (per kg) 150-180, black pepper (per kg) 680-855, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,680-1,730 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,780-1,880.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 830-900, cardamom (colour robin) 780-830, cardamom bold 800-850, cardamom extra (bold) 990-1,010 and cloves 820-870.
