Chilli, jeera rise on increased buying
Red chilli and jeera prices rose sharply by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital on the back of increased buying.

Besides, a firming trend at futures market supported the uptrend.
Red chilli prices were up by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 7,600-14,600 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality were also higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 16,600-17,200 and Rs 20,600-21,100 per quintal, respectively on good demand amid estimates of lower production.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up chilli and jeera prices.
